Here at Great Harwood St John’s Church of England Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that all learners shine with God’s love and that they leave our school with a lifelong love of learning and know that they are treasured as individuals.

As a church of England school with a theologically rooted Christian vision, our vision and values are at the heart of everything we do.

Our school has 6 values per year which we run on a 2 year cycle. Each one of these becomes a main focus for a half term, but we refer to all values all of the time.

Our Whole School Vision Day 2025

As part of our ongoing commitment to our Christian vision, we recently held a whole school vision day in which all children took part in a range of activities that us consider how our vision is embedded in all areas of our school life.  

This was a wonderful day, with many exciting activities, thought-provoking discussions and spiritual moments.  

Our Shining Lights Collective Worship Team ran the activities and ensured that everyone understood how the activities were linked to our Christian vision.
