Our school is open for children in Reception through to Year 6 from 8.55 a.m.  Children in Y2 - Y6 attending school in the main building on St John's Street must be in their classroom by 8.55 a.m. ready for registration.  Children in Reception and Year 1 attending our Nuttall Avenue site must be in their classroom by 8.55 a.m. ready for registration.  School closes at 3:25 p.m. making our school week a total of 32 hours and 30 minutes.

8.55 - 9.00 a.m. Registers open at St John's Street site and Nuttall Avenue  - external doors close at 9.00 a.m.

3.25 p.m. School closes

Wrap-around Care at St John's

For those parents who need it, we offer wrap around care in the form of Breakfast Club (starting at 7.30am at the St John's St building) and we now are delighted to be able to offer an after school club until 5.45pm every night.  

This brand new club is going to be named by our wonderful children at St John's - more information to follow.

Collective Worship at Great Harwood St John's Church of England Primary School

As part of our school life, we have a daily act of worship.  Our current Collective Worship timetable is as follows:

Monday - whole school act of worship

Tuesday - EYFS and Year 1 - joint act of worship 

                     Year 2 to Year 6 - Prayer and Praise 

Wednesday - Class worship

Thursday - EYFS and Year 1 - Joint act of worship

                    Year 2 to Year 6 - Joint act of worship

Friday - Whole school family celebration worship
