Reading is our Superpower.

Oh no! Something has happened in the kitchen. Somebody has attacked Mrs Akhtar’s fruit. Who could it be?

Evil Pea visited our class today.

Look at our amazing homework.

We caught Evil Pea

We used a bread maker to make bread. When we sliced the bread, we found Evil Pea in it. We were all very happy that we caught Evil Pea. We ate the bread to celebrate.
Class Information
Reading
Please make sure that you're listening to your children read each night. A couple of pages and some simple questions about the text will make a HUGE improvement to ALL areas of their work!
Reading books will be changed three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) we keep a daily record on whether the children have read their books or not.
PE Kit
Thursday and Friday - is our PE lessons so please make sure you come to school in your PE kit, no earrings and your hair is tied back if it is long.
Homework
Your child will bring a homework grid home. We ask them to choose 1 task to do each week and bring it to school on a Thursday.
Maths homework will be set on Purple Mash. If you can not access it please let me know and I will give you a paper copy.
Children will be given spellings every Monday to learn for a test the following Monday.
Children are expected to read at least 4 times a week, this can be either the books we provide from school or by accessing the Bug club.
If you or your child/children are unsure of what to do, please come and see me as soon as possible. A record is kept of whether children complete their homework and reading.
Spelling
Spellings are handed out each Monday, children are to learn their spellings for a test on the following Monday. The children will be provided with a spelling sheet, they must use this to write their spellings out everyday ready for their weekly test.
