Home Learning

Remote Learning

Please click on your child's class page below and this will take you to their home learning provided by their class teacher.

 

In the uncertain times that we are currently living in, it is important that we are fully prepared for the possibility that we may have to have a full or partial closure of school depending on the local Covid-19 situation. 

 

There will also be instances where individual children will be self-isolating due to coming into contact with a positive case of Covid-19. 

 

As a school we are producing detailed plans for remote education so that children will have access to a high quality education at home. When we put these plans together they will be put onto the class pages.

Great Harwood St John's CE Primary School Remote Learning Plan

Lancashire Professional Development Service (LPDS)

LPDS TV has been devised for teachers, parents and children, offering short and simple tips, games and activities to keep children engaged with home learning. Each episode lasts around 10 minutes and will be available for free on the Learning Excellence YouTube channel and Facebook page on a weekly basis. The lessons go live every Monday at 9:30am and are updated weekly.

The Oak National Academy

The sector-led Oak National Academy has launched its online classroom and resource hub. The Academy offers 180 video lessons each week for schools to use, across a broad range of subjects. The lessons cover children in Reception through to Year 10 and are free to use by both teachers and young people.
